Trystate Mechanical Selected for Teaming By NYSERDA

The New York State Energy Research & Development Authority (NYSERDA) has selected Trystate as one of seven companies invited to offer solutions to what NYSERDA describes as: “A significant gap in the market for serving resilient solutions to buildings where Solar+Storage may be insufficient on its own and therefore must be supplemented with dispatchable distributed energy resources (such as fuel cells or clean and highly efficient CHP).”

Trystate will be presenting its capabilities and solutions at this unique NYSERDA-sponsored On-Site Resilient Power Conference on June 27, 2019 at the Marriott Brooklyn Bridge. What makes this conference unique is that it is not customer-facing. Instead, it is intended to foster cooperation among the attending suppliers and vendors in order to address the market gap identified by NYSERDA. Included among the other six featured companies are the multi-nationals Schneider Electric, GE and Enel X.

While the conference title describes on-site resilient power, the real crux of the conference is all about microgrids. As NYSERDA representatives explain the situation, the market gap exists because of fragmentation in the microgrid marketplace. Hardware and software suppliers focus on their piece of the microgrid equation, but there are too few companies with the skills and resources to manage the design and delivery an optimized microgrid from inception to operation. Trystate was selected by NYSERDA as a leader in this area because its prior and ongoing work on Distributed Energy Resources and microgrid applications as well as being involved in worldwide energy transition leadership as part of the Equans MEP family of companies.
