Edward M. Kennedy Institute for the U.S. Senate
The 70,000 square foot LEED Silver museum, exhibit and office space houses an exact replica of the U.S. Senate Chamber gallery and the late Senator’s office. The HVAC system included a new chilled water and boiler plant for the Edward Kennedy Institute and the relocation of the existing JFK Library chiller plant incorporating it into the EMK structure. Careful coordination was critical to a phased chiller relocation to keep the JFK archives properly tempered at all times.
