Columbia University
One of our clients, Columbia University, benefited from our BIM and construction expertise in the completion of the new 362,700-square-foot Jerome L. Greene Science Center on the Manhattanville Campus. Prior to releasing the project for MEP bids, we worked with the owner, construction manager and design team on pre-coordinating the four (4) primary MEP shafts. Our 3D documents were utilized during the bidding process to resolve all trade conflicts, leading to clearly defined scopes of work and more complete pricing. This pre-construction coordination process also helped to accelerate the construction schedule because the coordination process was completed in advance, including the structural steel. Our BIM services were also used by the design team to complete architectural elements of the building that would normally not be resolved until construction had started.
